Screenagers: Growing Up In the Digital Age
We are excited to share the news that we will be showing the documentary titled Screenagers: Growing Up In the Digital Age as part of our Parish Family Christmas Retreat. This retreat will be held on Saturday, December 2 at Saint Haralambos. We are excited to have Deacon Perry Hamalis who will lead a guided discussion after the viewing of the documentary. If you would like to watch the trailer of the film, visit https://www.screenagersmovie.com/.
Award-winning SCREENAGERS probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's own, and depicts messy struggles, over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world.
The Retreat is being offered for EVERYONE in our community and is relevant for all ages. There will be sessions for youth between Pre-K and High School, crafts, outreach and music. In addition, we will also be decorating gingerbread houses! If you are planning to attend, please download the Registration form and return it by Wednesday, November 29.
