Aristotle Preschool and Kindergarten provides a developmentally appropriate bilingual (Greek-English) holistic educational program that supports children ages three to six, and their families from the St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church and its surrounding communities.
“Growing Hearts, Minds, and Souls” a Holistic Learning Environment.
Social and emotional growth is stimulated through large and small group activities such as dramatic play, music, movement and other creative activities. To facilitate the acquisition of problem solving skills, the teacher acts as the model for communication skills and carefully guides the children through normal conflict and problem solving situations so that these important skills can be used independently as needed. We look for strengths in each child and build on these.
Intellectual development is facilitated through the use of developmentally appropriate materials and equipment, and a curriculum planned by teachers trained in early childhood education. Activities and experiences challenge the children while allowing them to achieve success.
Spiritual development is gained by real life concrete applications of our Orthodox Christian lifestyles. Children gain knowledge about God, our Faith, traditions, and customs. Our Parish Priests, Father Dean Botsis and Father George Lamberis assist the teachers in this aspect of our curriculum. The children attend church on designated church days. For detailed dates, please view your monthly calendar.
Physical growth is accomplished by large and small motor activities available in both the indoor and outdoor play areas. Our goal is to provide a warm, supportive environment in which each child can reach his or her full potential.
