Greetings, Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

The church is the greatest gift given to us by God. The word “Church”, or in Greek “Ekklesia” is defined not as the edifice but as the assembly of the people of God. In his epistle to the Colossians Saint Paul states that Jesus “is the head of the body, the church” (Col. 1:18). Therefore, when we speak of the Church as our home, we understand ourselves to be part of a family with God as our common Father, receiving Jesus Christ in Holy Communion, praying, worshiping and serving together, and becoming His Body. To be truly a member of the Church as the Body of Christ requires our presence, and our engagement with one another—in worship, study and service to others. In our parish family, we grow together as brothers and sisters in Christ when we offer our best to support our home. When we as a family set our priorities on God, we affirm that all we are and all we have are His. Then we will see our Church, not as it is, but as it could be. We sacrificially offer our whole life, ourselves and one another, so
